STOP BLAMING, START FIXING

I thought a good place to start commenting would be for me to say that I consider myself "Independent".  I think too many people are partisan to the point where the [Democrats | Republicans] can do no wrong, and they agree with the party line on EVERY issue, even if it makes no sense.  I think the most valuable thing I learned in elementary school is logic and critical thinking, and that we should think for ourselves.  No one politician can represent EXACTLY what we believe and think on every issue, so we need to pick and choose based on what is important in the context of a particular position or time in history.

That being said - Right now, I'm very "Anti Obama"...   Dont get me wrong, I wasn't a Bush fan, definitely not a Clinton fan (Hillary OR Bill), and not a McCain fan, except as far as I thought McCain would do less damage to the country than Obama would...

Now..  With that in mind, I am SICK AND TIRED of hearing both sides blame the other.  WHO CARES.  Get on with it.  The problems are what they are, and it's time to fix them.


When Bush was in office, I thought he had plenty of bad ideas, and now that Obama is in office, so does he.

The bottom line is, we need to FIX the problem(s), which first means that we have to ADMIT the problem(s), and then find solutions to the problems, then IMPLEMENT those solutions NOW, not "over the next 10 years".  I dont CARE who made what mess  (Well, I do, but we'll take care of that at election time, thank you very much), but I do care that we're currently making it WORSE by delaying the solutions!!

So..  Another first post..  This blogger.com thing is pretty cool.. Makes it look like I put a lot of work into this site,when actually, it was easy..  almost TOO easy..  :-)

Anyway, this blog is so I have a place to talk to myself..  post links I might want to refer to again when arguing over political matters with friends and family, and maybe to try to float some ideas with whoever might be bored enough to read this.  I'd welcome comments and if you disagree with me, how about some thoughtful debate, but if you disagree and can't debate without getting personal or off topic, then do me a favor, and take it elsewhere..  Start your own blog - it turns out it's so easy, ANYONE can do it..  :-)
